Shengqu defends auction-house economy after backlash, cites 20 million Q1 script-farm bans

Two days after the May 15 reveal, Shengqu wrote a long reply to angry players. They said the test will only use auction houses for trading. To prove they have a bot problem, Shengqu shared a number: they banned almost 20 million bot accounts on the regular server in just three months (January through March 2026). They said gold-binding and the one-ID one-account rule are needed to stop bots. They are still thinking about letting friends trade.
