How to Participate

• Enter by speaking with Annette, located in Henesys, Nameless Town, Cernium Square, or the Challenger World's Residential District.
• Kai can only be challenged by characters created in Challenger World.
• Can be cleared once a week per account and records are reset every Thursday at 12:00 AM UTC.
• You will not obtain an Intense Power Crystal upon defeat.
• Defeating Kai grants significantly more powerful rewards compared to normal bosses.
  • Some rewards can only be used in Challenger World.

Hunting Missions

  • Defeating a boss in Practice Mode will count toward the mission.

• Once purchased on an non-Challenger world, you can designate a Lv. 260+ non-Challenger world character and a Lv. 260+ Challenger world character for this pass
  • World types of the characters must match: Interactive world characters can only pair with Challenger-Interactive characters, and Heroic world characters can only pair with Challenger-Heroic characters
  • The characters cannot be changed until after the pass expires
• The Challenger EXP Duo Coupon can be purchased once per account per week.
  • The purchase limit resets every Thursday at 12:00 AM UTC.
• The Challenger EXP Duo Coupon lasts for 7 days after purchase and your designated Challenger World character can earn Duo Points by defeating enemies within their level range (20 levels below and above) for 7 days.

Challenger Partners

How to Participate

• Select 'Challenger Partners' from the event list and click the ‘Participate’ button or talk to Frendy and Frenny in Henesys to start.

Entering a Partnership

• Enter a partnership with another eligible character located in Henesys by talking to Frendy and Frenny.
  • Accounts under the same Nexon account cannot enter a partnership with each other.
  • Partnerships can only be ended once.
• You cannot enter a partnership with a character that has already entered a partnership before.

• After entering a partnership, you can obtain Hunting Points with all characters in Challenger World and participate in Combat Missions.
  • The Challenger Partners event UI can also be accessed after entering a partnership.
• If your partner deletes their character/account or uses World Leap, you can no longer continue progressing through the event with that partner.
  • Rewards for missions that were already completed can still be claimed.
  • Hunting Points can still be earned.

Hunting Points

• Hunting Points are obtained when you defeat enemies within your level range (20 levels below and above). Your partner will receive 1 Hunting Point for each enemy defeated.
• You can use Hunting Points accumulated by your partner to obtain EXP based on your character’s level.
  • Up to 100,000 Hunting Points can be obtained per week.

Combat Mission

• Combat Missions are missions where you defeat specific bosses with your partner to receive rewards.
  • Bosses must be defeated in a party of 2 (you + your partner).
  • Bosses defeated in Practice Mode will count as a clear.
• Defeating a boss at a higher difficulty than the required difficulty will also count as a clear.
• Both characters must have remaining death counts when the boss is defeated in order to count as a clear.

• Combat Mission rewards can be claimed once per account.
• Sol Erda Fragments are untradable and the remaining rewards are tradable within world.
• Use the Challenger Partners Ring Coupon to obtain the Challenger Partners Ring.
  • If you are near your partner while wearing the Challenger Partners Ring, the partner ring effect will be displayed.
  • The partner ring effect is only visible in town.
  • Item Tag items cannot be used on the Challenger Partners Ring.
• The Partneroid will take your partner’s appearance at the time Hard Chosen Seren is defeated.
  • If your partner is a Zero or Angelic Buster character, their appearance will be recorded at the time the boss is defeated.
• The Soul Partner Medal description will display your partner’s nickname from the time Kalos the Guardian is defeated in Normal mode.
  • Item Tag and Medal Fusion Anvil items cannot be used on the Soul Partner Medal.

Challenger Pass

How to Participate

• Select the ‘Challenger Pass’ event from the Event List and click ‘Participate’ to start the ‘Challenger Pass’ event.
  • You can only participate in the Challenger Pass event once per account.
  • The character participating in the Challenger Pass CANNOT be changed.
• As you level up your Challenger Pass, you can obtain Support rewards. For 19,800 Maple Points you can purchase the Premium Pass to unlock Special Support rewards and receive the following additional bonus effects during the event:
  • Normal Enemy Damage + 200%
  • Bonus EXP Obtained + 20%
• Premium Pass can only be purchased by the character participating in the Challenger Pass event and is not shared with other characters on the account.

Weekly Missions

• Complete Weekly Missions to obtain Challenger Pass Points to level up your Challenger Pass!
  • Challenger Pass Weekly missions can only be completed by the character participating in the event.
• The Challenger Pass can be leveled up to Lv. 20 and for every 480 points obtained your Challenger Pass will increase by one level.
  • A maximum of 3,000 points can be obtained per week.

• If you have completed weekly boss clears, Monster Park, and Monster Park Extreme before participating in the Challenger Pass event, that progress WILL NOT be reflected in the Challenger Pass weekly missions.
• Weekly Challenger Pass Point acquisition and weekly mission progress resets every Thursday at 12:00 AM UTC.
• Challenger Pass Points missed from the previous week can be purchased.
  • 100 Challenger Pass Points: 1,000 Maple Points

Challenger Pass Rewards

• Support Rewards and Special Support Rewards can be obtained as you level your Challenger Pass.
  • Rewards can only be claimed by the character participating in the event and can only be claimed once.

Arcane Seal

How to Participate

• After completing the quest ‘A Greater Power’ you can participate by selecting the ‘[Challenger] Arcane Seal’ event from the Event List and clicking on the ‘Participate’ button.
  • The ‘Arcane Seal’ event can only be done by one character at a time.
  • If you participate in the event with a different character after already starting the quest, all event progress on the original character will be reset.
• Use Sealing Wands to break barriers to obtain an Arcane Core that provides extra stats which can also be enhanced.

Sealing Wands

• Three Sealing Wands will be automatically obtained daily at 12:00 AM UTC regardless if you are logged in or not.
  • Note: You can only have a maximum of 20 Sealing Wands at one time.
  • If you have 17 - 19 Sealing Wands at 12:00 AM UTC, you will only receive the amount needed to reach 20 Sealing Wands.
• When using the Sealing Wands you can use 1 to 5 Sealing Wands at a time to break the barrier.
• Once broken, you will obtain an Arcane Core of a certain rarity based on a set probability.

Barrier Appearances

• The type of barrier a player can break changes based on your Challenger World Tier.

• The probability of obtaining each Arcane Core will change with each stage.

Arcane Core

• Arcane Cores can be equipped and will provide stats depending on the core’s rarity and job.
• Once equipped you can use the Arcane Core Summon skill to summon the equipped core.
  • If you equip a core with a higher rarity than one currently equipped, the equipped core will be extracted and you will receive Arcane Energy based on the rarity and enhancement level.
• Note that stats obtained from equipping an Arcane Core will not apply if you World Leap from Challenger World to another world.

• Energy can be extracted from unused Arcane Cores to obtain Arcane Energy.

Enhancing Arcane Core

• Arcane Core can be enhanced by using Arcane Energy.
• Enhancing the core will increase the stats received from it and the success rate of enhancement is dependent on the rarity and stage of the core.
• An Arcane Core can be enhanced up to Stage 12.

• The Arcane Core's Stats increase as it increases in rank, making it more powerful as you enhance it.

Hyper Burning MAX Character Perks

• 1+4 Level-up
  • Hyper Burning MAX characters can gain 4 extra levels for each level up from Lv. 10 to 260.
    • Levels from Lv. 1-10 will only increase by 1.
  • If you create a Zero character as a Hyper Burning MAX character, you will receive the 1+4 level-up benefit from Lv. 100 to Lv. 260.
• Level-Up Support rewards are distributed to all Hyper Burning MAX characters
  • You can get all of the following rewards by clicking the ‘START’ button from the Hyper Burning MAX event UI.
  • NOTE:
    • Zero characters cannot use the Frozen Weapon Box and Frozen Secondary Weapon Box within the Legendary Cryptic Chest, or the 15-Star Fafnir Weapon Box within the 15-Star Root Abyss Set Box (Time-Restricted).
    • For existing characters that already have the Eternal Flame Ring, cannot use the coupon.
• Reach the level achievements as a Hyper Burning MAX character and obtain rewards!
  • You can get an even more enhanced level achievement reward in Challenger World.

Hyper Burning Rewards Key Details

How to Participate

• Designate a Beyond Burning character from the character selection screen or by selecting ‘Beyond Burning’ event within the Event List.
  • Only 1 Beyond Burning character can be designated per account.
  • Challenger World characters can be Beyond Burning.
• Once confirmed, your character will receive the Beyond Burning effect.
  • The Beyond Burning effect cannot be removed.
• Beyond Burning characters gain 1 extra level for each level-up from Lv. 260 to 270.

How to Participate

• Select ‘Item Burning Plus’ within the Event List and click ‘Participate’ to claim your Item Burning Box.
• Use the Item Burning Box to start the Item Burning event and receive a Challenger Equipment Set.
  • The Item Burning event can only be completed once per account.
• Progress can be viewed by selecting Item Burning in the Event List.
• There are 8 Stage Missions to complete, each unlocking perks that enhance your Challenger Equipment!

Item Burning Challenger Equipment

• Receive 8 types of Challenger Equipment corresponding to your job.
  • Challenger Hat
  • Challenger Top
  • Challenger Bottom
  • Challenger Gloves
  • Challenger Shoes
  • Challenger Cape
  • Shoulder Accessory
  • Challenger Weapon
• When an equipment item levels up, all equipped Challenger Equipment items will be unequipped.
• Effects will be removed if the Fusion Anvil and Soul Enchanter are used on a Challenger Equipment.
• Zero characters will not receive a Challenger Weapon and perks will be applied to their currently equipped weapon instead.

Item Burning PLUS Missions

• Complete Stage Missions by reaching the required level and defeating specific weekly bosses to improve your Challenger Equipment.
  • Defeating a boss in Practice Mode will count as a clear.
  • Defeating a higher difficulty version of a boss counts as completing the mission for the highest listed difficulty of that boss.
• You can complete the next stage’s mission in advance even if the previous mission hasn’t been completed. However you can only proceed with that stage after completing all previous stages.

Challenge Crest

• Certain Stage Missions require Challenge Crests to complete which can be obtained by defeating weekly bosses.
  • Challenge Crest records reset every Thursday at 12:00 AM UTC.
• If you have already claimed Challenge Crests for the week, you will only receive Challenge Crests equal to the difference between the previous boss defeated and the new boss defeated.

Challenger Key and Ignitia Set Effect

• Challenger Key (x2) can be obtained when completing each of Stage Missions 1 - 4.
• Use a Challenger Key on any armor or weapon slot to apply an Ignitia Set Effect.
  • The Ignitia Set Effect cannot be applied to Challenger or Eternal sets.
  • Zero Characters: Talk to NPC to apply the Ignitia Set Effect to Lapis and Lazuli or restore the effect if a scroll was used.

Burning Express

How to Participate

• Select ‘Burning Express’ within the Event List and click ‘Participate’ to access the event UI.
• Defeat 1,000 monsters near your level (20 levels above or 20 levels below) and click on the ‘Check-In’ button through the event UI to complete a check-in for the day.
  • Each account can check-in once a day and the record of completed check-in’s are shared between characters within the same account.
  • Defeats only count when in a solo party or not in a party at all.

Burning Express Rewards

• Receive rewards like Express Booster and Advanced EXP Voucher based on the number of completed check-ins.
  • Express Boosters can only be used in maps that require Sacred Power.
• For 30,000 Maple Points, purchase the Express Pass to receive additional rewards for each completed check-in
• Rewards can be claimed until August 4, 2026 at 11:59 PM UTC and can be used until August 5, 2026 at 2:00 AM UTC.
